With its enviable location within Snowdonia National Park, this spacious holiday home is a dream for outdoors lovers of both the human and canine kind. It’s on a smallholding so you’ll have farm animals as neighbours, and plenty of space for children and pets to roam in the extensive grounds. The accommodation has room for up to nine guests and three dogs, so is ideal for a trip among extended family or a large group of friends.
The cottage has a quintessentially Welsh look with stone brickwork and gorgeous wooden beams propping up its vaulted ceiling. It’s been beautifully renovated with a modern kitchen and dining table downstairs, and the lounge on a mezzanine platform. With the open-plan layout, you can enjoy each other’s company while enjoying the different sections of the space simultaneously. Sink into one of the sofas with your pet at your feet, or make everyone a coffee in the modern kitchen. The rear patio is a great place to sizzle up a BBQ, which you can tuck into in the fresh air as you admire the surrounding views – don’t forget to save a couple of sausages for your faithful pets!
When it’s time to explore the surrounding area, embark on pet-pleasing rambles through Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park (1.5 miles). The Trawsfynydd Lake area (7 miles) also offers plenty of walking opportunities. The nearest beach is 14 miles away in Barmouth, where you can try out the new ball launcher before heading for some fish and chips or a drink in a dog-friendly pub.
