Watch Rex’s ears prick up as you take him for a stroll around the lake at this Cornish retreat. Set on a site with other holiday properties and leisure facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, children’s play area and fitness suite, it enjoys access to beautiful, shared grounds and benefits from its own courtyard garden with hot tub. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom property is 6.5 miles from picturesque, dog-friendly Mawgan Porth Beach.
Open the front door and wander through to the lounge/diner to pull open the patio doors to let Rex wander out into the fresh air. Find comfortable seating in here to unwind on as you catch up on your favourite TV shows. Head into the kitchen to prepare feasts for your family, friends and four-legged companion and to rinse damp dog towels in the washing machine after muddy walks. There is also a WC downstairs. Head up to the first floor to a twin bedroom and a super-king-size, each with an en-suite shower room. Another twin, with an en-suite bathroom, with spa bath, and a second super-king-size, with en-suite shower room and access to a balcony, are on the second floor. All the bedrooms have TVs. Bubble in the hot tub after your trips out and cook supper on the BBQ in the garden, taking Rex off for a stroll afterwards. There is parking for two cars.
Plan a dog-friendly day out to the National Trust’s Carnewas at Bedruth, with its magnificent walks along the coast path. Rex will find bowls of water outside the shop and tea room here. Another great place to tire out furry feet is St Breock Downs, 6 miles away, where you and your pal can walk up to the summit to see Cornwall''s largest and heaviest prehistoric monolith.
