Set along the Suffolk Heritage Coast in the charming resort town of Southwold, this pretty retreat is the perfect place to lay your head for a seaside break. Welcoming up to four guests and one canine companion, it is ideally suited to a small family or couples sharing. Situated close to the town’s amenities, it is also just a short walk to Southwold’s large stretch of golden sandy beach and the historic pier.

Step inside to the welcoming lounge which is a cosy space featuring an open fire, wooden floors and a sunny aspect. The galley-style kitchen, which sits adjacent to a spacious dining area, is bright, has a partially glazed ceiling and has all the mod cons required to cook up a storm. The bathroom is also located on the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find two attractive bedrooms: a double with sea views and a delightful twin room. Outside, the courtyard garden offers the perfect sunny spot for drinks and dining alfresco.

Southwold is a popular resort town offering traditional bucket-and-spade appeal. Perfect cottage for us for a week stay by the sea. So close to the beach and a short walk to the pier and the shops. The beds were very comfortable and we had all the equipment we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and Southport is a lovely seaside town with some great shops and places to eat.

The cottage is a two bedroom fisherman's cottage. It has all the facilities you would expect, plus a surprise whirlpool bath! A real fire is always worth looking forward to, as are the sea views. As it is close to the village centre and the Adnams brewery, with the smell of the molasses and hops in the air, it is a very welcoming place to stay.

The cottage was a real home from home in a quiet location but close to the sea front. The rooms were spacious, the bed comfortable and all the facilities were of a high standard. Everything was mostly clean (just some greasy oven trays) and the welcome pack of teas/coffees and biscuits was much appreciated. The stairs seemed quite steep but we haveRead more stayed in cottages like this one where they were similar and soon got used to them. It seemed a bit strange not having a cutlery drawer actually in the kitchen area and it took a while to find the cupboard where these were, but then it seemed obvious. We would happily return to this cottage as we really enjoyed our first trip to Southwold. Hide
