Escape to the Suffolk coast in this stylish holiday home in the idyllic village of Thorpeness. The property welcomes six guests plus one hairy hound and suits both families and groups of friends. There are some excellent walks nearby to explore with the woofer, including a coastal path to Aldeburgh (2 miles) and woodland trails at Kenton Hills (4.5 miles). The seaside town of Southwold (16.5 miles) and the historic town of Framlingham (14.5 miles) make great day trips from the cottage.

This coastal retreat is decorated in a contemporary style and offers ample space for you and your waggy-tailed chum to spread out and relax. After a long dog walk, whip up a hearty meal in the chic kitchen and come together for family mealtimes in the formal dining room. At the heart of the home is a welcoming lounge with comfortable seating and a Smart TV for enjoying movie nights. On chilly evenings, light the open fire to create a cosy atmosphere. The property has three inviting bedrooms and a delightful family bathroom. Outside, the mature garden is a lovely spot to unwind with a glass of wine or an al fresco supper. This space is fully enclosed for your furry pal.

Enjoy a potter with the pup around the pretty village of Thorpeness, admiring the mock-Tudor architecture and the quirky buildings, such as the iconic House in the Clouds. Head down to the Meare for a waterside stroll or get out on the boating lake with your furry companion to explore the Peter Pan-themed islands. The sand and shingle beach at Thorpeness welcomes canine visitors all year, and there are some excellent paw-friendly pubs and cafes in the village.

We had a very comfortable stay at the lamp house which had everything we needed. The location is brilliant, a very easy walk down to the beach. There was a stair gate and lots of children's toys and books so it was great for a family with small children. We loved the open fire which made the living room very cosy on an evening.

Everything in the cottage is clean & we had a comfortable weekend. There were only 2 of us as the others couldnt make it, if the cottage had 6 people there may be issues in winter as the living room only seats 5.

Tremendous property in a great location. Lots of space inside, great garden at the back, large bedrooms with king-sized beds and the whole house is really well fitted out. Easily one of the best holiday rentals weve stayed at.

What a find! We enjoyed a fantastic week at this lovely cottage moments from the sea. Extremely well appointed, plenty of room for our family of four to spread out and we all slept very well in the really comfortable beds. We really enjoyed fish and chips in Aldeburgh and browsing the antique market with its coffee shop in Thorpeness. We will defRead moreinitely be back. Hide

This is lovely cottage, spacious and nicely decorated. Everything you need for a stay. The beds are comfortable and it was nice having an open fire in December. We had no problem parking two cars outside the property, but it was winter. Only minor downside, no shop in winter. But Aldeburgh is only two miles away. The beach is five minutes walk.
