Set within spectacular private grounds, sniff out scenic Suffolk adventures in this handsome holiday retreat which welcomes up to six guests and one canine companion. The cottage, which is ideally suited to families and groups, is bright and airy and has been decorated in a contemporary scheme. Outside, enjoy a number of pursuits from tennis on the private court to croquet on the vast sweep of lawn.
Step inside this stone-built abode and you’ll be immediately struck by how light and spacious it is. The inviting lounge is large, yet sumptuous, featuring bold pops of colour, big sofas and a wood burner – it is a great space to retreat to. Let your sleeping dog lie in front of the fire whilst you prepare dinner in the modern kitchen/diner which is a fabulous social space. Come bedtime, head upstairs to one of three bedrooms: a king-size bedroom with an en-suite, a twin room and another king-size bedroom. Up here, you’ll also find the family bathroom. Step outside and have a ball – grab your rackets and head to the tennis court or enjoy walkies within the large expanse of grounds. The property also benefits from having a private patio area.
Offering plenty of scope for outdoor activities, should you wish to embark on adventures beyond the property’s grounds, the quaint coastal town of Thorpeness is 2.5 miles away. Here, you can meander through the town’s shops and cafes, enjoy walkies along the beachfront and take in the colourful houses or dig for treasure on the beach itself (seasonal restrictions for dogs apply). Alternatively, Aldeburgh and its scenic promenade is just 3 miles away.
