This historic property, which was once a carriage house, is perfect for families and up to two four-legged friends looking to enjoy the North Devon coast and countryside. The cottage is set in a quiet rural setting on the edge of the market town of Barnstaple (2.5 miles). Here you will discover the start of the beautiful Tarka Trail, a walking/cycling trail where four-paws can run about on this former railway route.

This single-storey cottage sympathetically decorated in a classic style, offers guests a comfortable stay with access to shared facilities. The compact, open plan living/kitchen/dining room is ideal for spending time together, whether you''re cosying up on the sofa in front of the TV with your pups at your feet, tucking into a meal at the table or preparing snacks and drinks in the kitchen. There are two lovely bedrooms - a double and a twin - and a bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, there''s plenty of space to stretch your legs and let the hounds run around while you enjoy the beautiful views across the estuary. There''s also a BBQ so you can dine alfresco on warm summer evenings or just relax with your favourite sunshine drink. Guests also have access to shared facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, a games room with a full-sized snooker table, a trampoline and other equipment for ball sports.

The North Devon coast is less than 10 miles away, where you can explore the popular beaches of Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton, which offer clean surf and some restrictions for dog access in peak season. Alternatively, head to Exmoor (11.5 miles) where your dog can lead the way or take a ride on the iconic cliff railway at Lynton and Lynmouth (20 miles).
