Part of a Grade II-listed farmstead built in the 1890s, this charming stone-built cottage brings all the comfort of home to the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Ideal for a friends or family get-together alongside your canine companion, spend happy days exploring the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the historic spa town of Harrogate nearby.

With thick stone walls and exposed wooden beams, this cottage exudes rustic heritage from its homely interior. Sit back and relax on plush sofa seating after a day of adventure or gather around the dining table to plan the next day’s activities over a delicious meal prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. Outside, the private south-facing walled garden is a safe space for Rover to investigate whilst you enjoy your morning coffee or an evening sundowner. Take a luxurious soak in the bathroom’s tub at the end of the day before retiring to bed in one of three welcoming bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and all boasting comfortable beds topped with floral bedspreads for a good night’s sleep in this quiet location.

Surrounded by open countryside and situated in a lovely valley close to the River Nidd, fantastic rural walks to get tails wagging begin from your doorstep. The market town of Pateley Bridge is 1.5 miles away and home to a range of shops, cafes and dog-friendly pubs, as well as what claims to be the oldest sweet shop in the world, established in 1827. Alternatively, visit the wonderful spa town of Harrogate, 14 miles away, whose thriving streets are lined with busy shops and fantastic eateries and where the spa heritage can be seen at every turn. Pateley Bridge sits at the heart of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a landscape of dramatic windswept moorlands, steep river valleys and peaceful woodlands full of exciting sights, sounds and smells for your hounds to investigate.

Our stay at Kingfisher Cottage was very enjoyable. Everything was very conducive to a relaxing time. The lady who runs the property was extremely helpful and very personable. We would not hesitate to use this property again on a future visit to Yorkshire.

Excellent location, beautifully clean and well equipped. Could use a boot jack for muddy boots at the front door and filter papers for the coffee machine as none available locally.
