This pretty pied-a-terre is situated in the heart of the resort town of Southwold, a traditional seaside destination boasting a beautiful swathe of beach and a historic pier.

The apartment offers attractive open-plan living with a tasteful lounge that is kept light via three enormous arched windows. In the living space, you’ll also find a dining table for four. There is a well-equipped compact kitchen, a modern, spacious bathroom and two attractive bedrooms: one king-size and one twin. Outside, you’ll find a small, shared courtyard with furniture, the ideal spot for a morning cuppa.

This pretty property makes a great base for those wishing to explore the Suffolk coast without needing to venture too far. The apartment itself is less than 100 metres from the beach and if you’re visiting in high season and can''t take your dog onto the sand, you can embark on walkies across the promenade and up to the famous lighthouse. Covehithe Beach is a stunning natural cove and is dog friendly, whilst inland, you can visit Reydon Wood Nature Reserve, just 3 miles away. Set within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB, there’s plenty of opportunity to get back to nature.

Wonderful stay. 5 nights went too quick. Parking outside or along street or side street. Never an issue. The flat is great for a couple, or for small family. Kitchen superbly equipped. Bed lovely warm and cosy, Windows open from the top and if your a light sleep, bring ear plugs. Local seagulls like an early start. Its the coast, enjoy Read moreit. Room and dining area comfy and spacious. Some good reads and old skool dvds aplenty. All Apps on to so you can always stay connected that way. Storage unit outside had windbreak, chairs , spades toys etc. everything you need. A wonderful place, great value. Would recommend to anyone that asked. Side note. Suzuka Cafe on the front . A beach hut,, serves the best coffee in Southwold. Plus the best bacon and egg sandwich. Happy days Hide

Excellent, welcoming cottage which is very close to sea and town. Parking is also very easy in the street which is a bonus in Southwold!

There were some issues that were not addressed during our stay. Hopefully, they have been rectified. But I have not had an update. Other than that it was great.

Excellent location a few minutes from the seafront. Not very comfortable seating in main room. Otherwise the room was very light and airy with lovely view of the lighthouse.

Location near to beach etc so fab. Good mix of local shops and Co-Op and Tesco little stores . Decent choice of pubs/restaurants but not enough of them if you want to eat out regularly as full , and it was only end of June. Adnams and Lakeside cafe both very good. Lovely clean beach and promenade. Poor bus public transport (though I expect most peoRead moreple holiday with their car) so difficult to have days out, though Beccles manageable by bus and worth visiting. Harbour Quay, Ferry and Wabbleswick also lovely, walks from 3 - 10 miles. Cottage fully equipped and comfortable beds and good shower. But very hot and no fans. Unable to leave windows open as ground floor. Problems with yobs and ASB at 0230 knocking and banging on doors and windows on 5 occasions. Police responded well and patrolled area nightly after. But scary experience so we left early, although booked for 2 weeks. Hide

Stone's Throw is a light, airy very well-appointed flat in a quiet location with easy walking access to the beach, shops, museum etc. We spent three very happy weeks there and would not hesitate to recommend it. The fittings are of a high-quality and more than enough kitchen equipment. Would definitely book again if coming to the UK. It felRead moret more like a home than a holiday rental. Hide

2nd time staying and loved it just as much! The flat has everything you need for a stay with a lovely welcome pack which was so lovely after the long drive! Bed is comfortable and the place is clean. Everything is on the doorstep and plenty of parking that's free. A wonderful week and can't wait to come back.
