A gorgeous little hideaway nestled in the village of Friston, Sussex, this is an ideal bolthole by the sea for a small family of three and two beloved hounds. The village itself is set along the River Alde and offers plenty of pretty scenery to enjoy; rove with Rover along the riverside, stomp across open fields and step into countryside abundant in wildlife directly from your doorstep. The property interior is charming, with coastal-inspired touches and pops of colour.
One step leads up into the house where you’ll find a bright and airy living room with French doors that lead onto the sunroom/conservatory; it’s here where you’ll find the dining table, a small sofa and access to the pretty garden. The well-equipped kitchen also offers a small seating area and presents all you need to comfortably cater for your stay. Head upstairs to the two bedrooms: a spacious king-size room and a cosy single. The family bathroom, with its sloped ceiling, is also on this level. Step outside into the pleasant rear garden with patio and seating areas, mature shrubs and vibrant blooms spilling over pots; it is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun.
Canine companions will surely enjoy walkies in the immediate local area, with Friston offering a number of exciting trails. The River Alde sits to the south of the village and is a great place to sniff out adventures and play fetch. For a day at the seaside you don’t have to travel far: Aldeburgh and its gorgeous Georgian architecture and shingle beach is just 4 miles away and Thorpeness, which offers a vast stretch of sand, can be reached within 8 miles.
