An absolutely charming abode for two set within the stunning natural scenery of a 19th-century former farmhouse, this enticing holiday home has been beautifully renovated from a historic barn. Traditional features have been married with contemporary interiors, all set against the backdrop of the beautiful rural scenery of Chediston; it is a treat of a retreat. Fido is welcome too, so you can escape as a family and enjoy switching off and stepping out together for a well-deserved break.

Step inside and you’ll be immediately struck by the calm atmosphere; bright and airy with beautiful pops of colour, it offers plenty of contemporary charm. A spacious open-plan living room, dining and kitchen area sits under an impressive vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. Let your sleeping dog lie in front of the warming wood burner while you prepare dinner or plan your holiday activities; the space implores you to relax. This charming barn offers a bright double bedroom and a minimalist, modern bathroom. Have a ball within the impressive grounds – there are five acres to enjoy within the 36-acre swathe of farmland. Immediately outside is a bench where you can sit back and take in the spectacular views.

My only problem was that I was alone and the accommodation was quite remote.

Found the Nook to be very well presented and comfortable and it was well placed for visiting local attractions, such as Dunwich and Minsmere. The owners were very friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay there again if visiting this part of Suffolk.

We love the Nook. It was our second visit to this wonderful semi detached barn. Having a dog, the garden out the front of the barn was perfect- which we had to ourselves and the extensive farmland surrounding was ideal. The Nook had everything needed, as well as a dishwasher! Beautifully decorated with all the comforts to make our stay wonderfulRead more. Hide

Lovely countryside location crystal clear skies at night. Ideal for exercising dogs in fields surrounding property and only a fifteen minute drive to the coast.
