With uninterrupted sea views, this delightful holiday home has all the ingredients for a wonderful stay on the Yorkshire Coast. Ideal for a family get-together, enjoy traditional seaside fun alongside your canine companion and discover why Filey has become such a firm favourite with visiting holidaymakers.
This three-storey, Victorian-era building is warm and welcoming, with a homely feel that will put you at ease as soon as you enter the door. There is plenty of space to relax, with a cosy sitting room on the ground floor and a light-filled living room on the first floor, both with far-reaching sea views to captivate the eye. The sitting room is also home to a warming electric fire that''s sure to be a hit with your four-legged friends, and the lounge features its own private balcony overlooking the promenade below. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen to be enjoyed either in the formal dining room or outside in the gorgeous suntrap garden that boasts more of those watery views and outdoor seating. When it comes time for bed or basket, three stylish bedrooms await, one on the first floor alongside the family bathroom and two on the second floor, one with an en-suite shower room, and both tucked neatly under the sloping eaves of the roof creating a charming look to these inviting spaces.
Cross the road in front of the property to Filey’s fabulous promenade, home to ice cream stalls, amusements, crazy golf and more. You''ll be spoilt for choice if you''re looking for a dog-friendly café or pub in Filey where plenty of water bowls are provided, and the fish and chips are excellent. The glorious 5-mile stretch of golden sand that is Filey Beach stretches from the rocky peninsula of Filey Brigg to the north down to the Bempton RSPB reserve in the south. At low tide, a quarter-mile width of sand is exposed, where younger visitors and inquisitive pups will find plenty of rock pools to explore. There is a seasonal dog restriction in place between May 1st and September 30th on the beach area directly in front of the promenade, but head north or south out of the town and find acres of sand on which Fido can frolic. Filey Brigg marks the start of the Cleveland Way, where you can take a fabulous cliff-top walk to Cayton Bay (4.5 miles) or beyond if you and your hound are hungry for more.
