Celebrate with friends, family and your four-legged friends at this quirky cottage which is a fantastic option as two former cottages joined together ensuring ample space for everyone. Situated in Walberswick, you’ll be less than a mile from the beach which welcomes pups all year round to run and fetch to their hearts’ content.

Seamlessly blending the old with the new, this large Victorian house has two spacious living rooms, both furnished with sumptuous seating options and wood burners whilst one features a dining table seating six. The main dining room benefits from being dual aspect, allowing natural light to pour in through the front and back of the room whilst you gather together to eat on the stylish, modern table. Two kitchens ensure ample space for preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for large numbers, as well as the opportunity for two groups to enjoy their own space by sharing the facilities. Completing the ground floor is a wetroom-style bathroom and a cloakroom for extra storage. Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find a selection of bedrooms including a king-size bedroom which has an interconnecting door to the twin room, ideal for families with young children. In addition, there is a further double bedroom and two bright and airy single rooms. At the front of the property there is a pretty lawned garden with an enclosed pond where tranquil days can be spent with your pup whilst at the back, a patio area offers a third option for dining when the weather is warm.

Walberswick itself is a wonderful location for a holiday, oozing with charm with a number of dog-friendly pubs and restaurants to visit during your stay. Let your dog lead the way to the ‘lost city’ of Dunwich where you’ll now find an atmospheric shingle beach and a heathland nature reserve with plenty of flora and fauna to sniff out on a walk. Hop aboard a river tour at Oulton Broad (17 miles) for a calming afternoon gliding along the waters, or take on the 7-mile long Sailors’ Path between Aldeburgh (15 miles) and Snape Maltings (17 miles) to experience a plethora of terrain from whimsical woodlands to sun-dappled spots by the River Alde - a route which is sure to get tails wagging.

A lovely, characterful cottage, or two in reality, merged into one. Two kitchens, which was handy as we had both meat eaters and vegans amongst us. The setting in Walberswick is really lovely, affording interesting walks and sunsets over the trees and the water. Visiting in winter parking was not a problem (four cars) within the small drive and theRead more street where the cottage is. Restrictions apply at other times. As a setting for an annual weekend away for our amateur writing group the cottage suited very well, with lots of corners to hide away and write, and a generous sitting room to come togehter as well. A splendidly big table was great for shared meals! We all agreed, despite a few minor niggles (the house was freezing cold when we arrived, would have been good if the heating had been turned on for us) we would definitely come again. Hide

Brilliant location for a beach holiday, the cottage is well equipped and sleeps plenty, although space wise it did feel a little cramped with 8 adults and 3 children!

A well stocked very spacious property in a lovely location. The dining room with its dual aspect folding doors creates a lovely space for eating and family time. The information in the property could do with updating and being a little more detailed. Sadly the rugs and chairs were unacceptably dirty and not what you would expect from a property oRead moref this calibre. Hide

Vine Cottage was lovely and in the perfect location for our multi-generational family Christmas. It was wonderful being only 100 steps from The Bell pub and 5 minutes from the beach. The cottage was cosy and welcoming, with very comfortable beds, great bathrooms and the bonus of a hot tub! Easy parking too.

Vine Cottage is just what we hoped it would be. Its large enough for all eleven of us ( eight adults, two children and a baby) plus two Labradors, to be together. Both the house and the garden are well equipped. We loved the hot tub. In the house we really appreciated having two fully equipped kitchens, including two fridge freezers and two dishwRead moreashers. The dining area was big enough for us all to eat together. There are two sitting rooms so one turned into a play room. The bedrooms were clean and attractive. The beds were comfortable. A great advantage, because of the children and dogs, was that upstairs is accessed by stairs with doors that can be closed. Its just a stones throw from beautiful Walberswick beach, with its crabbing bridges. On the green there is a small play park for the little ones and several shops just a stroll away. We ate at The Anchor and the cafe, which were both enjoyable. A high spot was the ferry across the river to Southwold where we ate at the Harbour Inn and strolled into the town, returning along the beach. We thoroughly recommend Vine Cottage for a delightful break. Hide
