Benefiting from views across open farmland to the Camel Estuary, this stunning barn conversion occupies a tranquil spot 3 miles from the bustling harbour town of Padstow. You can even bring your four-legged friends with you from September through to June, so that they can enjoy walking the coast path, digging in the sand or jumping the waves. Children are also well-catered for, with outdoor play equipment ideally positioned next to the patio and sun loungers, so the adults can relax!
Sympathetically restored, vaulted ceilings and neutral tones create a sense of light and space throughout, whilst exposed beams and slate floors (also good for muddy paws!) add character. At the heart of the home is a stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can all spend quality time together. The three bedrooms are on the same floor, with contemporary oak furniture adding warmth and comfort. A contemporary family bathroom and en-suite shower room complete the accommodation. Outside, there’s a landscaped garden with a patio, a lawn and a children’s play area.
This area of North Cornwall has lots of outdoor activities on offer. Walkers and their canine companions can take to the South West Coast Path or The Saints Way, which both pass within a couple of miles. Alternatively, you could head to one of the many sandy beaches along this stretch of coastline, such as Tregirls (4 miles) or Polzeath (13 miles) and make sandcastles or enjoy a surf. Cyclists can take to the dedicated Camel Trail (within 1 mile) for a gentle ride, or head inland to the countryside for something more strenuous. Padstow has a wealth of things to see and do, including galleries, museums, independent shops and a range of eateries, including Rick Stein’s high-end restaurant.
