Take Fido with you to enjoy all the fun of a Suffolk stay away when you book this holiday home in Ufford. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom country cottage sits in gorgeous gardens where Fido can play, and you can bask in the sunshine and take in the marshland views. From here, set his tail wagging with walks through the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and along the coast.
Bound into the charming hideaway to find yourselves in an open-plan lounge/diner, where you can settle down to a boxset on the Smart TV while Fido stretches out in front of a roaring open fire. On summer days, open the French doors to the garden so he can pad outside to explore. Feed your famished friend in the kitchen and prepare holiday meals in here too for everyone else to sit down to in the dining room, perhaps in the cosy glow of another open fire. There is also a family bathroom downstairs. A king-size bedroom and a twin can be found up cottage-style stairs on the first floor. Let Fido explore the sloping garden, with its different areas, to his heart’s content. There is space out here for dining in the sunshine, and access to an outside laundry room. The cottage has private parking.
Head for 3.5 miles to visit the National Trust’s dog-friendly estate at Sutton Hoo, where you and your pal can explore the leafy woodland and walk by the scenic River Deben. Framlingham Castle, which also welcomes pups, is 8.5 miles away. Venture 14 miles to Aldeburgh to pick up the Suffolk Coast Path and follow it for a spell with your furry friend. There is a 6.5-mile, circular route from here which takes you via the 20th-century holiday village of Thorpeness.
