This spacious family home is in the seaside town of Scarborough and enjoys beautiful views across Peasholm Park. Sleeping ten guests and two pups, it’s the perfect place for large get-togethers with family and friends. The area is awash with walking routes, from clifftop trails to lakeside paths, and this stretch of coastline is home to some stunning, paw-friendly beaches.
Enter the holiday home into the vestibule, where you can store your boots and dog leads. The property has been decorated and furnished to create a home-away-from-home vibe, and there is a choice of social spaces to relax and enjoy each other’s company. In the lounge, you’ll find a stylish sofa in the window overlooking the park, and there is a cosy gas fire that the hounds can doze beside after a long walk. Also on the ground floor is a lounge/diner where you can host dinner parties, along with the kitchen and utility room. Upstairs is a woof-free zone, and here on the first floor, you’ll find four of the bedrooms (two doubles, a bunk room and a twin) – two of which have en-suite facilities – as well as a family bathroom. The remaining bedrooms (two singles) are located on the second floor. Outside, there is a rear courtyard where you can park two cars.
A trip to Scarborough isn’t complete without a visit to the castle. The English Heritage site welcomes four-pawed visitors on leads, meaning you and your canine chums can explore its fascinating 12th-century ruins, before taking a stroll around the surrounding headland. The holiday home is opposite Peasholm Park, providing you with dog-walking routes from your doorstep. Wander amongst the oriental-themed lakes, waterfalls, and bridges, before taking a ride on the heritage steam train. Scarborough’s main beaches have seasonal dog restrictions. However, just 3 miles along the coast is the magnificent Cayton Bay, where waggy-tailed beachgoers are welcome all year.
