Arrive at this exquisite Norfolk retreat with your four-legged friend and he will be in seventh doggy heaven. With a large, lawned garden to race about in and the pup-friendly beach at Old Hunstanton, just 2.5 miles away, your dog’s tail won’t stop wagging. Sleeping seven people, the spacious, four-bedroom cottage, which comes with an annexe, offers exceptional character and comfort and will be a sheer delight for human guests as well as hounds.
Let yourselves into the main cottage and take your canine friend straight into the utility room, where there is a WC, where there’s a washing machine perfect for sandy dog towels. Head into the lounge to light the wood burner and watch TV while your canine chum also enjoys a well-earned rest. When mealtimes beckon, head through to the kitchen/diner to whip up something tasty for everyone else. Dine in here too, perhaps listening to music, with your contented canine close by. Settle him for the night downstairs then head up to the first floor to find the family bathroom and bedrooms. These include a king-size with an en-suite bathroom, a twin and a single room. The annexe is a short distance from the house and has a downstairs shower room and twin bedroom, with sloping ceilings, upstairs. Spread out into the gorgeous garden at every opportunity. Have BBQs out here, enjoy a sundowner and play ball with your delighted dog.
Stretch the legs with a 7-mile circular walk from Old Hunstanton, taking in parts of the Norfolk Coast Path and following the River Hun for a spell. For an afternoon out, venture 10.5 miles to the Royal Sandringham Estate, where you are welcome to explore the parkland with your canine companion.
