On the ground floor, you’ll find an elegant lounge with high ceilings and comfortable seating. The bright kitchen/diner is a lovely place to come together after a long dog walk, to share delicious, home-cooked food. A door in the hallway leads to the basement, where you’ll find a cinema room, a record player with a collection of vinyl, and a games room with a pool table. Three of the bedrooms (a double, a twin and a single) are located on the first floor, with a bathroom on the half landing. The final bedroom – a double – is set in the eaves on the second floor and has sea views and an en-suite shower room. There are some spectacular dog walks in and around Whitby. From the town, climb the iconic 199 steps to the beautiful St Mary’s Church, to admire the far-reaching views. From here, you and your canine chums can explore the evocative ruins of Whitby Abbey, before joining the Cleveland Way for an exhilarating 7-mile hike to Robin Hood’s Bay. The town has three gorgeous beaches, and Tate Hill Beach, just below the abbey, welcomes furry beachgoers all year.
