There’ll be no need to call upon the kennels when booking your next pet-friendly retreat in darling Dorset - this fresh, contemporary accommodation choice in the heart of Swanage is entirely dog-friendly. Wander the short distance down to the beach or get stuck into epic dog walks along the Jurassic Coast throughout your time here, always returning home after each fulfilling day for an evening of relaxation with man’s best friend lovingly by your side. Happily hosting seven guests and one furry friend, this holiday let is an exceptional choice for stays throughout the year. Spend time in the secure, walled garden in the sunshine or curl up together indoors when bad weather strikes.

Put your best paw forward and step inside, making a beeline for the impressive kitchen/diner with bi-fold doors and light-flooding skylights. A real destination for the summer, you can let the outside in as you throw open the patio doors, allowing your beloved bow-wow to enjoy free roam of the garden whilst you prepare dishes and dine indoors or out. Elsewhere on the ground floor, find two lovely lounges with soft furnishings and plenty of room to place your pet’s favourite bed to create a cosy sleeping spot for a dog-tired pet. And for yourselves, sleepy bodies can be marched upstairs and settled down amongst three inviting bedrooms.

Go mutts when exploring the vibrant town of Swanage, wandering directly into the town centre to find plenty of amenities and treats for man and dog alike. Pass by the golden sands of Swanage Beach to reach the quieter Pier Beach (0.5 miles), where dogs can splash freely throughout the year. Heading inland, discover the vibrant Isle of Purbeck with plenty of walkies excursions, perhaps from onboard a heritage steam train from Norden (7 miles) or Corfe Castle (5 miles).

This lovely property lives up to its name - you get to hear the steam engine whistles, and you can see the steam trains from the garden. We had a number of guests over 3 weeks - and everyone said how comfortable and handy the house is for everything. The closeness of the co-op and bus station is a real bonus

This property is in a very good location, close to the town centre and amenities. We found the house was well-equipped, warm, and comfortable. We particularly liked the rear kitchen extension which was bright and modern. Would happily recommend this property.

Lovely location, Swanage is nice. The house had very tight off road parking even for one car. The kitchen and dining room is lovely and we spent most of our time there. The bedrooms are all spacious with adequate wardrobes but could do with perhaps a chest of draws in both. The bunk beds were fine but the lower of the two very tight for our 3 year Read moreold to get in and out of. The location is very close to a large Co op which is next to the Swanage Railway whicg we used to visit Corfe Castle. Swanage itself was lovely, lots of shops and arcades to keep the children amused when the weather turned. The property at steam whistle was clean and i would recommend and happily stay they again. A great comfortable house, good location and parking, which is not always available in Swanage. The recent extension to the kitchen with dining area and bi-fold doors to the enclosed rear garden, is a real asset to this property. A great holiday house, we've rebooked for next year and look forward to our return.
