Plan your four-pawed pal the getaway of a lifetime when staying here, a fabulous Dorset cottage that’s surrounded by countryside walkies and endless wildlife to chase. Both man and dog alike will find something to go mutts for in this instant home-from-home, whether it’s the underfloor heating which creates the cosiest spot for your dog to snooze or the quiet peacefulness that surrounds the place. The generously proportioned property welcomes eight guests and one dog, an exquisite choice for any extended family or group of friends eager to explore the surrounding area with man’s best friend loyally leading the way.

Traditionally appointed and set across two storeys, this fantastic cottage boasts countryside simplicity and unrivalled comfort. On arrival, stop off in the kitchen to give Rover a hard-earned bite to eat, throwing any muddy dog towels straight into the wash. The ground floor presents two lovely lounge spaces, ideal for multi-generational groups who prefer to relax independently. The whole family can come together at mealtimes, relaxing in the garden room and slipping your pup a treat or two from the table. Leave sleeping dogs to lie right here as you venture up to bed, finding four bedrooms and two bathrooms just upstairs.

The surrounding gardens immediately give way to the Nine Barrow Down, so step outside and immediately find yourself amongst Dorset’s vibrant countryside. Leave no stick unfetched in the surrounding greenery, following a route to Corfe Castle (2 miles) and amongst the Purbeck Hills (5 miles). Make plenty of time for a trip to the coast, setting tails wagging with a trip to the seaside resort of Swanage (4 miles). This seaside destination marks the start of the dramatic Jurassic Coast, a 95-mile route presenting plenty of pet-friendly beaches where you’re free to lob a tennis ball or two.

This is an excellent family house, with space and a beautiful aspect. It has a pleasing old-fashioned atmosphere and children can't cause damage. Generous with bathrooms and living rooms, our family had a comfortable and enjoyable holiday, whatever the weather. We found the location convenient for all our activities.

The property and grounds are beautiful however even though there have been a lot of improvements since my last stay the cleanliness from the changeover is still poor e.g sofa covered in stains and pet hair, dirty cutlery in drawer , oven not clean etc. If there was a mop to go with the mop bucket I would have washed the floors before I left. Location was perfect, close to beaches and places of interest. Views great, very quiet , house was perfect for us. beautiful spot to relax but if more active many walks from the house.
