Escape to the lakes with family, friends and your four-pawed pal to this light, bright property located right on the edge of Lake Windermere. Spend your days cruising the lake, or on a whimsical walk with your canine to the town of Ambleside in search of a pup-friendly place to eat.
Upon entering this large and luxurious property you’ll find the modern kitchen/diner to your left, classically styled with white cabinets and wooden flooring. Opposite the kitchen facilities is a casual dining room with seating four six where family meals and competitive games nights can be held, as well as offering access to the garden for the dogs to stretch their legs. On the opposite side of the hall is a second dining room, providing seating again for six guests by the warmth of a gas fire in a spacious room. This leads through to the airy conservatory style living room where interesting, vaulted ceilings, far-reaching views and a natural colour palette characterise the space. Choose from one of two comfortable sofas to sit on and stretch out for a film or to read a book by natural sunlight. Through the living room doors, the decked seating area can be accessed for al fresco dining at all times of the day. At bedtime, take your pick from the three double bedrooms, all of which are neutrally decorated, or the charming bunk room which is perfect for kids. There are two bathrooms within the property, one with a revitalising power shower and the other with a bath for relaxation to please every guest. Finally, there is a helpful utility room, accessible from the hallway with storage space as well as a fridge/freezer, washer and dryer. The gardens are well looked after with a lawn for dogs to have a ball and a table, chairs and patio for entertainment during the summer months.
This is a fantastic location from which to explore the Lake District, offering access to Lake Windermere via a shared jetty and less than a mile away from Waterhead Pier where you can enjoy a cruise across the lake with your top dog aboard. Ambleside (1 mile) is a vibrant town where you’ll find an array of eateries, as well as walking trails leading to much-loved natural beauties such as Skelwith Force, a majestic waterfall and the quaint town of Elterwater.
