Escape with your loved ones to this lovely semi-detached brick and flint cottage sitting in a quaint complex of properties between the peaceful village of Roughton and the fun beach town of Cromer. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, this lovely single-storey cottage is ideal for small families or groups of friends who want to explore the beautiful Norfolk coast together. Take a leisurely walk through the beautiful gardens at Felbrigg Hall during the day; and in the evening come home to the cottage’s pretty private garden, pour yourself a drink and soak up a little serenity.
Step inside and you''ll be greeted by a lovely open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Take a moment to make yourself at home in the stylish lounge area before heading to the complex’s shared heated indoor pool for a dip. In the evening, rustle up some dinner in the cottage’s country-style kitchen area and host a sociable meal at the dining table. If you prefer to dine alfresco, head out to the patio and eat while your pups run around the enclosed garden. After dinner, head back to the lounge area to stretch out in front of the TV. At the end of the day, there are two lovely bedrooms waiting for you – a double and a twin. Both offer magnificent country views.
Let your pups run free at East Runton (3 miles), a long, sandy beach backed by sloping sandstone. This lovely beach is home to the largest chalk reef in Europe, so it’s a big hit with fossil hunters. Alternatively, head into Cromer and take a refreshing stroll along its Grade II-listed pier (2 miles). There’s even a dog-friendly bar on the pier that offers doggy ice cream in the summertime.
