Let Rex warm his fur by the wood burner after winter walks or bask in the sunshine of the garden after trips to the beach in the summer when you stay at this charming Suffolk retreat. Situated in the village of Orford, 12 miles from Woodbridge, and nestled in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the two-bedroom cottage sleeps three guests and offers comfortable, dog-friendly accommodation with an abundance of character.
Wander into the Victorian hideaway to find a warm welcome in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Stoke up the wood burner and settle down in front of the Smart TV, while Rex curls up and enjoys a few quiet minutes after his latest adventure. Take a step down into the kitchen area to prepare the next meal for your hungry hound and humans and pull a chair up to the table here too. There is also a downstairs WC and utility room. Bid Rex goodnight at the end of each day and head upstairs to lay your head in either the double bedroom with King Size bed or the single. The family shower room is also up here. Dine outside in the pretty courtyard garden with your furry friend enjoying being close by. There is storage space at this cottage for cycles. Parking is on the road, subject to availability.
Take the time to visit English Heritage’s dog-friendly Orford Castle, built between 1165 and 1173 by Henry II and with an unusual, polygonal tower keep. Take your pal to splash in the shallows at Orford Beach or head 7 miles for a woodland walk at Rendlesham Forest. Snape Maltings, 5.5 miles away, is a unique shopping and dining destination, where Rex can join you in many of the outlets or take a boat trip with you along the River Alde.
