We had a wonderful family holiday at Marram House, during exceptionally hot weather. The rented house turned out to be just right for us. Long lazy meals inside or outside, with lots of room for children to play. A great location for morning and evening walks on the beach. Highly recommended.

A house with a certain charm, large garden and patio for bbq. The fittings are a little tired and need replacing in some rooms. Perfect for a weekend. Great location.

Marram House is a great space for a large family/friends gathering and I would highly recommend it if you are comfortable with slightly outdated shabby chic furniture. We have stayed at Marram House once a year for probably 20 years! It has a great kitchen/dining space which is very social. The bedrooms are spacious and mostly comfortable, the bathRead morerooms are adequate, the living room could really do with more contemporary comfortable seating, but it is OK. We barely use that space because the party is always in the kitchen! Hide

Great house in a fab location. Big garden, has everything you could want for your stay. 4 toilets are a bonus in this house as is the range and normal hob. Even got to watch the 1/2 marathon go past in the morning.

An ideal large house for a 3 generational family holiday, comfortable rather than posh.

We have stayed at Marram House before & intend booking for the same week next year from Friday 21st July to Friday 7th August.2026. We have a small property ourselves in Marlborough Road, where my husband prefers to stay. he finds the younger grandchildren rather noisy. House was in poor state, dirty especially oven which we couldn't use it was so bad, dog muck in garden not cleared up. Heating kept locking out and no emergency contacts as what out of hours. Lack of instructions on how to use items such as heating, aga, etc. Curtains stained and not hanging properly on poles. Chipped crockery. Needed a good deeRead morep clean. Location was good. Wouldn't recommend the cottage or the company. I would not knowingly book with this cottage company or one of its subsidiaries (knowingly as there are so many of them) due to damage deposit scam they have going. 500 returnable but they need it 8-9 weeks in advance - why should it sit in the company's account making money? or 60 you don't get back. 13 of us had a nice stay at the end of February. The house was big enough and had everything that we needed. Plus the location is great. As others have said, the house could do with redecoration in places, and a lot of the furniture is old. But it didnt stop us having a nice stay. The two bedrooms on the top floor are very cold. What a beautiful house that just needs a bit of TLC. So many old features in the house which are wonderful. Location is brilliant for Southwold. We were a mixed family of 11 agreed 22 to 82 and a dog and had plenty of breakout space as well as space for us al to eat together and play games. Beds are comfy and bedrooms are clean. Plenty of towels prRead moreovided. Was a little cold when we arrived but got the heating working and all was good. However the rooms on the top floor had no heating. There is a shower room with toilet and sink on the top floor. 1 en suite, 1 bathroom with a shower over it without a toilet and also a shower room with a toilet on the 1st floor and a washroom on the ground floor so the facilities are great. Would just say the ground floor it does need a little bit of a clean but nothing we felt would stop us booking again. A wonderful place to go with all the family Hide

Marram House is great for large families to holiday in, close to the pier, and not too far from the town and beach. Parking is not an issue. The house though and contents are looking old and worn. We really enjoyed our week at Marram House with ample space a family gathering. Conveniently close to the beach and the town centre. There is ample parking in the autumn. If there was a downside, the decor is beginning to become a bit tired which could easily be remedied.

Superb property and we ate outdoors most of the time. Ideally situated for both beach and town. Parking was occasionally difficult but parking in the driveway of Marram House meant allowed meant that one family member could park across the drive.
