Set on Skilmans Hill in the secluded South Green area, this extensive light-filled property enjoys views over the common and across the marshes towards Southwold Harbour, making an idyllic holiday base for up to eight human and two canine guests. A perfect retreat for larger families marking a reunion, or for groups of friends exploring the Suffolk coast, the property features bright, spacious living areas, four beautiful bedrooms and a large garden with raised decked areas, providing a peaceful base for walkers discovering the region’s stunning coastline and glorious countryside.

Offering underfloor heating across the ground floor, the property has a stylish lounge with a Smart TV and plenty of seating. The light-filled kitchen/diner has a handy central island, a sociable dining area by the bi-fold doors, and further seating so you can curl up with a good book. The first of the four light, colourful bedrooms is on the ground floor: a sweet en-suite double which opens onto the garden. Three further bedrooms can be found on the first floor: a pretty twin, a great children’s bunk bedroom with space to play, and a double room with an en-suite shower room and views over the marshlands. The family bathroom features a whirlpool bath and hand-held shower. Outside, the large open-plan garden has a patio and a raised decked area accessed via a few steps and featuring a glass balustrade and plenty of outdoor furniture, providing a lovely space to gaze over the surrounding landscape as you dine alfresco and your pets bask in the sunshine.

The popular seaside resort of Southwold is home to some fantastic dog-friendly places to eat and drink, along with the beautiful pet-welcoming beach at Southwold Pier. Dogs are also welcome at Walberswick Beach (1 mile), which you can reach by the rowing boat ferry.

The best property we've stayed at in a while, so nice to have parking in Southwold and be allowed pets too.
