Find adventure on the North Devon coast with your canines in tow when you stay at this characterful property in the village of Braunton. You’ll find wonderful walkies on your doorstep at Braunton Burrows (1 mile) where sandy paws can run through the dunes and sniff out the best sticks around. The holiday home itself has something to offer at all times of the year, from underfloor heating which makes the best puppy snoozing spots to the pretty courtyard garden for summer BBQs.

Retaining much of its original charm, seamlessly blended with updates to ensure an enjoyable stay, this property has a real family-friendly feel. Welcoming you inside is the living room where you can sprawl out on the cosy sofas in front of the wood burner and watch a film with the family. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook up meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner whilst the separate dining room offers a lovely atmosphere for celebrations and hearty feasts. Upstairs are the bedrooms which have beautiful exposed beams overhead and characterful windows. Two of the rooms are furnished with comfortable king-size frames, whilst the final room is a twin making this an ideal family property. Completing the interiors is the bathroom where long soaks in the tub can be had to rest your feet after a long day. Via the doors in the living room, you can make your way out to the courtyard garden where a table and chairs sit amongst the mature trees and plant life that create your little haven.

Beach-loving doggos will love the sandy shores in the local area, with Saunton Sands under 3 miles away welcoming pups to play at all times of the year. Those in search of the best walkies around should head for the South West Coast Path, where rugged landscapes and diverse wildlife can be found alongside plenty of paw-friendly stops along the way. Alternatively, to explore the coast from a unique perspective, why not head to Ilfracombe for a sea safari? Be it a sunset tour or an afternoon wildlife spotting extravaganza, there’s something for everyone.

I don't often leave a review but in this instance I feel it's really important. Firstly Original Cottages, some of the reviews weren't great on line and I was worried after booking when I read a few. BUT, from start to finish the communication was excellent, I didn't have to search my emails for anything, the reminders were sent to my phone, frRead moreom the booking in time (we also had a call from the housekeepers to say it was ready earlier than expected if we wanted to arrive earlier) the key code, and the day before reminder of the check out time. The house itself was a real gem, it was hard flooring on arrival in the hall, dining room and kitchen with space for a family of 5 and two dogs to come back from the beach stress free ! There is a parking space very near by. The kitchen is well appointed, the tumbler was pretty handy too ! The teens were very happy with the takeaways on the door step, and we were happy to have a green space to walk the dogs first thing near by and coffee shops. The sitting room is very cosy and we really enjoyed the log burner, also a hive to change the heating. The stairs are a lovely quirk as is the upstairs of the cottage, it has a lovely feel to it. This is clearly a well loved family home, thank you for sharing it with us. Hide
