Treat yourself to a magical Norfolk break when you stay at this canine-friendly cottage in the village of Dersingham. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom bolthole comes with a lovely, lawned garden where your four-legged friend can frolic and is only just over 1 mile from the expansive Royal Sandringham Estate with its picturesque parkland to explore. It is also 4.5 miles from the beach at Heacham, where there are no restrictions for seaside-loving pups.
Take a step up to enter the property and put your feet and paws up for a while in the lounge, where you can watch TV and your chum can curl up in a corner. Amble through to the kitchen/diner, where the kitchen is one step up from the dining area, to make a cup of tea and fill up your canine friend’s bowl. Prepare meals in here too to enjoy at the table. Take your pal through to the reading room with you for a quiet doze after dinner. Also downstairs is a WC. Climb the stairs up to the first floor to enjoy a good night’s sleep in either the double bedroom or the twin. The charming family bathroom is also up here. Take your happy hound out into the garden to nose about while you have dinner out here or enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down.
Pick up the Norfolk Coast Path and stretch canine legs with a 2-mile walk to Hunstanton, with its famous stripy cliffs. Spend time on the beach at Hunstanton, which is also dog-friendly all year round. Head to Great Bircham, 6 miles away, to follow an 8.5-mile circular walk, which follows a section of a Roman Road and takes in part of the Peddars Way and passes a windmill.
