Upstairs, tucked under the sloping eaves of the roof, is a fantastic open-plan living space with plenty of comfortable sofa seating and a warming wood burner that''s sure to be a hit with the hounds. Outside, let Fido explore the rambling garden whilst you relax on the sun-trap patio''s dining set, ideal for your morning coffee or a BBQ on a warm summer''s evening. A path leads to a large lawn with plenty of space for a game of fetch. At the end of the garden, enjoy far-reaching views across the rolling hills toward the sea in the distance.
The cottage is located in the hamlet of Trehemborne, down a narrow Cornish lane which leads to the glorious sandy beach at Treyarnon, 1 mile away. Treyarnon is less well-known than its nearest neighbour Constantine Bay but is just as worthy of a visit. The sandy beach offers good surfing conditions and a natural tidal pool where you can swim as well as rock pools to be investigated and hidden nooks to be explored. The beach welcomes dogs all year round, making it a firm favourite with the whole family. Strike out along the South West Coast Path, revealing magnificent cliff-top scenery in both directions. You can reach Porthcothan Bay (2 miles) in one direction and Constantine Bay (0.5 miles) in the other. The popular town of Padstow is 4.5 miles away and home to a traditional working harbour where fresh catch is landed daily. Famed for its seafood, the town has several excellent restaurants to sample. To burn off all those extra calories, hire a bike and take your hound for a run along the Camel Trail that follows the course of the River Camel from Padstow towards Bodmin. Level and mainly traffic free, this fantastic route is suitable for pets and people of all abilities and passes through some of Cornwall’s most beautiful scenery.
