This stylish ground-floor apartment in Robin Hood’s Bay sleeps four people and welcomes two faithful friends. Bathed in a gentle palette of soft nautical hues, it’s a smart accommodation option for a small group of friends or a romantic couple who want to immerse themselves in the wild beauty of the Yorkshire coastline with their pups by their side. Spend your days strolling along the beach and your evenings enjoying a bite to eat in one of the village’s dog-friendly pubs. Each morning, sip your morning coffee and take in the sea views as your pups happily potter around the property’s enclosed garden.
This gorgeous apartment is located in one of the large houses known locally as the ‘Sea Captains’ Houses’. Enter the shared entrance hallway and you can’t help but notice the beautiful Edwardian tiled floor. Step inside the apartment and you’ll discover a sleek space with a lounge and a kitchen/diner. Cook up a storm in the kitchen area and enjoy a casual dinner in the dining area. Alternatively, head out into the garden and soak up the sea views as you dine alfresco. After dinner, slip onto a sofa in front of the TV as your pups snooze contentedly at your feet. When it’s time for bed, there’s a lovely double bedroom with garden and sea views, as well as a sofa bed in the lounge.
There are no dog restrictions on the beach at Robin Hood’s Bay (0.5 miles). Fossil hunters love this spot, as ammonites and footprints from the Cretaceous and Jurassic Periods are plentiful. Further afield, head into Whitby (5 miles) and climb the 199 steps that lead from the abbey to the ancient parish church of St Mary – you’ll tire out your pups and the views along the way are amazing.
