Walk across the slate flooring in the entranceway to reach the kitchen/diner with wooden-base units and a dining table with chairs. As you enter the spacious lounge your eye will be drawn to the impressive stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burner in front of the three-piece sofa suit, pouffe, tub chair and TV. Also on the ground floor is the family bathroom. Climb the stairs to reach the three bedrooms – two doubles and a twin room. Outside is an enclosed patio with furniture.
During your stay near Builth Wells (5.5 miles), you’ll benefit from scenic surroundings and the Eppynt Way footpath just 300 yards from the front door. Take your fury companions for an adventure at Cors Y Llyn National Nature Reserve (9.5 miles) or the Elan Valley Estate reservoirs (22 miles) – make sure you stop off at Claerwen Dam Viewpoint (28 miles) to fully appreciate the beauty of this area. Not far from here is the National Trust Abergweysyn Common Nature Reserve (19 miles) where you can drive through a sweeping, unspoilt valley. For a day of challenging hiking, the Brecon Beacons National Park is 17 miles away, where you can find an array of mountains to climb for a variety of skill levels – Pen Y Fan (20 miles) has the highest peak in this national park.
