Escape to the south of Snowdonia National Park surrounded by sandy beaches, waterfalls and towering mountains. Spend your time away enjoying long dog walks surrounded by nature and return to this cosy cottage with a characterful wooden beamed cathedral-style ceiling and snuggle up in front of the warming wood burner. If it’s warm out, catch the last of the sunshine while dining alfresco in the garden.
Settle into this comfortable barn conversion with a sociable open-plan living space. The kitchen/diner is at one side of the room with a fitted ‘U-shaped unit and a dining table with chairs to seat four. The lounge has two plump sofas to sink into, a gas wood burner and a TV. Both bedrooms in this property have en-suites – one is a twin room and the other a king-size. Outside is an enclosed patio with furniture and a BBQ area.
Step outside and find yourself on the grounds of the owner’s home in Llanegryn, which is located in the Dysynni valley with views across the mighty Cadair Idris mountain (8.5 miles), which is well worth a visit if you’re a mountain peak enthusiast – halfway up is a beautiful lake. For a tranquil waterside stroll head to Dolgoch Waterfall (5 miles). If you’ve brought your swimsuits, Aberdyfi Beach (8 miles) is canine-friendly in most areas all year round. The charming old fishing village of Aberdyfi is also an excellent place for dining out and tasting some homemade ice cream. National Trust South Snowdonia nature reserve is also 24.5 miles away, where Fido can sniff out the wildlife on a riverside walk.
