Get away from it all at this peaceful rural retreat in the heart of Snowdonia with nothing and no one but stunning countryside, cows, and llamas for miles! It’s perfect for friends or family, with a big outside area the kids and your four-legged friend will love. And it’s in the perfect location for memorable adventures in the great outdoors.
The quirky property was once a chapel, and the spacious living room still houses the pulpit! There’s also a stone fireplace with a wood burner for doggy dozing, and sofas to kick back on and watch TV. Small staircases on either side of the fireplace lead down to the cosy snug and elegant dining room, with gorgeous original features. The country kitchen is through the dining room and there’s a cloakroom with a WC on this level too. The three bedrooms are on the first floor up the open-tread stairs from the living room. The double and single rooms are on the mezzanine floor, with curtains for extra privacy, and there’s a twin bedroom and a family bathroom with a roll-top bath. Children and your furry friend can play in the grassy area where a bubbling stream runs under the old stone bridge.
Get your boots on, grab the lead, and discover the beautiful meadows and woodlands on your doorstep with your canine companion by your side. Walk the Precipice Trail (3 miles) or follow the Torrent Walk (4.5 miles) along the River Clwedog. This is also a brilliant area for cycling with exhilarating trails in Coed y Brenin Forest Park (10 miles). Stock up on supplies for home or go out for dinner in Dolgellau (5.5 miles) and if you want to wander along the coast Barmouth Beach is 15 miles away.
The house is located on a remote mountain road and guests visiting in winter should be well prepared for snowy road conditions and check the forecast carefully before travelling. If you have any concerns please get in touch before travelling.
