Overlooking the East Lyn River, this delightful stone and redbrick cottage is a welcoming retreat with sumptuous interiors and a gorgeous patio garden in the heart of historic Lynmouth. Ideal for a friend or family gathering on the North Devon coast, nobody will be left behind with one or two canine companions welcome to join you on your West Country extravaganza.
Enter via a light and airy hallway with plenty of space for boots and coats, then move through to the cosy living room with its roaring wood burner that’s sure to be a hit with the hounds. The fully equipped kitchen/diner is a sociable place to spend time with loved ones, preparing and sharing a delicious meal. Alternatively, head out to the beautiful patio garden to the front of the property and dine alfresco overlooking the river and woodland beyond whilst Rover sniffs around the enclosed borders. After a long day of adventure, soak tired legs in the family bathroom''s tub, then head to bed in one of three inviting bedrooms, two of which enjoy more of those wonderful river views.
The twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth are linked by road and by an incredible water-powered funicular railway, the only one of its kind in the world still in operation. Furry friends are welcome to ride with you and will find thirst-quenching bowls of water provided upon entry and exit. Lynmouth''s vast shingle beach is 300 metres from your door and welcomes pooches year-round with plenty of rock pools to investigate and other woofs to meet. The South West Coast Path passes through the village, leading to magnificent cliff-top scenery and walks to get tails wagging. After all that exercise, head to either of the village''s pubs and receive a warm reception for both you and your pawed pal. More often than not, a doggie treat or two will be awaiting their arrival!
