Lead the way to an adventure in South Devon with two furry companions plus up to three human guests during your stay in this charming and traditional cottage with warm and welcoming interiors. While you’re based in the idyllic fishing village of Shaldon, you’ll have eateries, beaches and the South West Coast Path on your doorstep.

Inside is a sociable and comfortable open-plan living area with neutral tones and a characterful wooden beamed ceiling. Put your feet up on the comfortable sofa or relax on one of the armchairs in the cosy lounge with a Smart TV and an open fire. Move into the kitchen/diner to find a well-organised kitchen and a dining table with chairs. There is also a utility room and a bathroom on the ground floor. Climb the stairs to reach a separate WC, the king-size bedroom with a Smart TV and a single room with a pull-out bed. Outside is a terrace with furniture.

Explore the village of Shaldon, where you’ll find a cafe, bakery, canine-welcoming pubs and botanical gardens within 0.5 miles. Spend a day at the dog-friendly Ness Cove Beach (1 mile) and soak up the scenery from the Viewing Platform (1 mile). From here you can follow the South West Coast Path past the golf course all the way to Maidencombe Beach (5.5 miles) – on your way you’ll come across more than 10 secluded coves. Further afield is the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (12 miles) and Torquay (8 miles).

My Husband and I and our cockerpoo dog had a wonderful stay at St Christopher cottage, very cosy and homely feel. Well equipped with all you need . Lovely towels the best!!! Lovely Cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Thank you for the cream tea, milk and doggy treats! Fabulous towels M & S's best! Loved the washing lines in the kitchen too! Sadly we didn't get out onto the patio as the weather took a turn for the worse, but we loved the walks and the views of the estuary behind the cottage. A very comfortable cottage with a well equipped kitchen and a lovely large comfortable bed to sleep in after a day exploring Shaldon village. Would definitely recommend to family n friends.

Great place to stay. Comfortable, well equipped cottage. Love to cook when away and everything has allowed us, especiallly with local shops providing everything. Felt lucky to have found such a perfect place, only downside parking very unpredictable! Patio at front absolute bonus all day with very hot weather this week. Love to return

Great location for a lovely holiday in Devon. We enjoyed visiting Totnes. Eating fish and chips in Torquay. Going on the Ferry to Dartmouth with a steam train ride to Paignton, boat trip to Teignmouth and Exmouth. We thoroughly recommend the Boathouse, The Thatched Tavern, Clipper Caf and Shipwright Arms. We grew up in Teignmouth & Dawlish. We no longer have relatives to stay with but have enjoyed a lovely week in your cottage. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and extremely well equipped. Shaldon is a very attractive spot with the south Devon coastal towns, Dartmoor etc in easy reach. St Christopher's Cottage is a few minutes walk from the centre of the village with its butchers, bakers , post office, general store, cafes, restaurants. and sandy beach. This was our first visit to Shaldon and hopefully not our last ! The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable. A real home from home, thank you for the cream tea which was a lovely surprise on our arrival. The dog treats went down very well with our two Cocker spaniels Ruby and Amber. We can recommend The London Inn and Clipper Cafe, the food is vRead moreery good and they are both very friendly. Get the ferry across to Teignmouth, then you can walk to Dawlish. Stop off at The Salty Dog for refreshments and then we got the train back to Teignmouth. Shaldon is a very friendly community, a real gem ! We hope to come back again soon, we all loved it. Hide
