Watch Rover’s tail wag throughout his Suffolk break when you stay at this gorgeous retreat in Ufford. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom holiday home is set in exquisite gardens with plenty of lawn for bounding about on. Situated 5 miles from Woodbridge, the enticing abode is also ideal for country walks and days out on the coast.

Let Rover pad into his new home to find it offers ample space for hounds and humans. Take him through to the lounge and light the wood burner in here on chilly days. Open the French doors instead during the warmer months to bring in a refreshing breeze. Head through to the kitchen/diner, which also has doors to the garden, to serve Rover his dinner and to whip up something tasty for everyone else too. Set the table in here for jolly holiday meals. There is also a utility room. Bid your chum goodnight when you are ready to turn in for the night. One of your bedrooms, a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, is downstairs. A twin bedroom with en-suite WC, and a super-king-size room with a beautiful, gable-end window and sunny balcony, are on the first floor, together with the family bathroom. Take Rover out into the garden to play as often as he wishes, keeping an eye on him and any children near the pond. Dine out here too on summer days. There is parking for three cars.

Venture straight out on walks through your rural surroundings and alongside the River Deben. Pick up the Suffolk Coast Path at Aldeburgh, 14 miles away. Visit Snape Maltings, 8.5 miles away, where Victorian buildings have been converted into galleries, shops and eateries, as well as a concert hall, and where Rover is welcome to join you in many of the outlets.

This cottage worked perfectly for my husband, myself and my 96 year old mother, due to the range of facilities downstairs and upstairs. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and the location made it very central to Suffolk's many attractions. Wouldn't hesitate to book it again, or recommend it to anyone else.

This is an excellent property, plenty of parking, well maintained and equiped, spacious, very clean and very comfortable. Our party included 4 adults and 2 young children and we were all very impressed. A large garden with plenty of seating, which we would have enjoyed more if not for the weather. The property was an excellent base. We had an eight month old baby with us and the property was ideal. It had all the equipment and facilities that we needed and it proved an excellent base for exploring the local area.

We absolutely adored staying here, it was perfect for all our needs. The downstairs bedroom and ensuite suited my elderly parents, and the rest of the house and garden!!! (which we didn't see until the morning after as we arrived in the dark ) was absolutely stunning. It was a joy to spend a few days here.

Lovely house and good location. We really enjoyed our stay and would rebook. Only two of us and two dogs but would be ideal for two couples and children. While there seems to be a fence around most of the back garden the rest is open to the road so you have to really keep your eyes on dogs even when outside with them. Our dogs love retrievingRead more balls so it was easy to take them out early in the morning and keep them busy! We did have a lovely stay and the weather was very kind to us which makes all the difference. The house itself is a lovely setting, and a lovely layout. Generously sized and worked really well for us as a family of 5 (and a dog). It was well located too for ease of getting to different places (Southwold, Thorpeness etc). There were a number of little niggles (such as a plethora of dead insects and cobwebs upon opening some of the bedroom windows which appear not to have been opened in a while, dead butteries in the remote, tired decor, stains, limescale taps, worn carpets etc) which should not be present in a property at this price point. At one point i'm sure it was all new and fresh but currently there are parts of the house that need redecorating and renovating. Hide
