Slow the pace of everyday life and head for this glamping pod in the countryside between the Yorkshire Dales and Forest of Bowland, around 4 miles from Settle. Designed for couples or solo travellers with a four-legged friend in tow, it puts some of the region’s finest walking country within easy reach and comes complete with its own private hot tub and sauna.
Inside, the pod has a bright open-plan layout with pale wood-effect flooring, contemporary fittings and plenty of natural light. The compact kitchen has dark units and a solid wood worktop, with a fold-down table for meals, plus a desk and two tub chairs. Bi-folding doors open directly onto the decking, making it easy to take your morning coffee outside with your pet. At the far end, the double bed has a Smart TV, and the separate shower room is just 10 metres away. Your private decking sits beneath a slatted pergola, surrounded by woodland and equipped for laid-back evenings. There’s a sunken hot tub, barrel sauna, cold plunge and copper rain shower, plus a sun lounger, charcoal BBQ and outdoor dining table. After muddy walks across the Dales, having your own outdoor area makes coming back to the pod particularly practical. Private parking for one vehicle is also available.
Pen-y-ghent (10 miles) is one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, offering a serious outing for energetic walkers and their hounds, with lower-level routes nearby for less demanding days. Ingleton (7 miles) is home to the 4.5-mile Waterfalls Trail, where responsible pet owners are welcome, although dogs must remain on leads throughout. Settle has dog-friendly places to eat and drink, and Skipton (19.5 miles) makes another worthwhile day out, with pups permitted on short leads at Skipton Castle and in its woods.
