  • Perfectly placed to explore the glorious Galloway countryside and coastline
Property code: OC-W45317

On the edge of Galloway Forest Park, this detached bungalow offers families or groups of friends a peaceful base for exploring new terrain with their canine pals. This gorgeous rural setting less than a mile from the pretty village of Laurieston is a lovely place to unwind after countryside adventures. Enjoy lazy afternoons in the sun porch admiring the view or make the most of the enclosed garden, safe in the knowledge that your pups can mooch around to their heart’s content.

Inside, the rooms are spacious, light and airy, inviting you to find your favourite spot to unwind. Enjoy quick bites at the breakfast bar or gather for more formal celebrations in the lounge/diner, where a large picture window overlooks the garden and open farmland. On cooler evenings, pop a log in the wood burner for a crackling, cosy ambience while you snuggle up for a movie night. A second sitting room gives you more room to spread out and find a quiet space to read or watch TV while the dogs snooze. Both bedrooms have ample storage and en-suite facilities, with one boasting a separate Jacuzzi bath for soothing soaks. A sofa bed in the second sitting room sleeps a further two people if needed.

Across the road from the property is the must-visit Red Kite Feeding Station, where you can watch the amazing spectacle of the birds being fed. Dogs are welcome to visit with you but must be kept on a lead. On the banks of Loch Ken, Galloway Activity Centre (12 miles) offers water sports and activities ranging from a climbing tower with a zipwire to laser tag and archery. If you want to give your dogs a good runout on the sand, head to Rockcliffe or The Dhoon Beach, both within 20 miles.
