Bring your four-legged friends along for a memorable stay on Cornwall’s west coast at this luxury granite cliff-top property overlooking Sennen Cove. With panoramic Atlantic views and direct access to the coast path, the four-bedroom home is well suited to families, surfers and keen coastal walkers. While Sennen’s beaches do have dog restrictions in place during summer, the nearby Gwynver Beach (1 mile, accessible along the coast path) is completely doggie friendly all year round.
This beautiful home has a grand living room as its central hub, with a large window seat so you can admire those awe-inspiring views while tired pets warm their fur by the open fire. There’s also a dining and sun room for group meals, a separate snug for quieter evenings and a kitchen with its own dining table. A ground-floor wet room provides a handy changing space for when you’re using the pool and garden. The first floor houses two bedrooms – a super-king-size and king-size – which both look out to sea, while a third bedroom contains a double bed suitable for one guest. These rooms share a shower room with WC. Another super-king-size bedroom occupies the second floor, with slanted windows framing the water and an en-suite shower room with WC. Outside, your dog will love exploring the tiered grounds with you. However, since the garden is not fully enclosed, has changes in level and meets the coast path at its lowest point, dogs will need to remain under close supervision – particularly near the cliff edge. This space includes a paved patio, a rear lawn with a greenhouse and bistro table, and a sheltered seating area among the foliage. The heated swimming pool is accompanied by sun loungers, a day bed, a BBQ, a round dining table for six and a covered dining area with another six seats. Guests can also enjoy an ocean-facing sauna and cold plunge tub. Parking is available for three cars on the private drive.
When it’s time for walkies, you can follow the coast path south towards Land’s End (2.5 miles) for an invigorating outing with your canine companion. Sennen Cove itself has cafés, galleries and fish and chip shops, and local surf schools offer lessons for anyone eager to take on the consistent waves. Longer coastal adventures lead towards Cape Cornwall (5 miles) via Cot Valley, and further-afield days out could include the Minack Theatre (4.5 miles), St Michael’s Mount (12 miles) or the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole (8 miles).
