This three-bedroom house stands above Mawgan Porth Beach on the North Cornwall coast, with panoramic views across the sand and the Atlantic Ocean. Part of a new development 200 metres from the shoreline, it is ideal for families and couples looking for a coastal holiday built around surf, sand, and cliff-top walks. Mawgan Porth Beach is a broad stretch of white sand where a trickling river winds across the shore for children to paddle and splash. A local surf school offers lessons, and a seasonal crazy golf and pitch and putt course sit near a historic Iron Age site at the edge of the beach. The South West Coast Path leads towards Watergate Bay in one direction and the dramatic cliff formations at Bedruthan Steps in the other, with spectacular panoramas along the headland. Padstow is further along the coast.
The living space occupies the first floor, designed in Scandinavian style by local interior designer Nicola O'Mara, with a vaulted ceiling and large bi-fold doors opening onto the balcony. The open-plan layout connects a comfortable lounge (with a chaise longue sofa, two chairs, and a Smart TV) to a dining area with a table seating eight and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. Stairs lead down to the ground floor, where three bedrooms and two shower rooms are arranged. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and double doors opening to the front, with a private en-suite shower room fitted with a rainfall shower and WC. A second bedroom holds a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be configured as a twin, with double doors leading to the rear garden. The third bedroom has twin beds. A family shower room with a rainfall shower and WC serves the second and third bedrooms, and a separate WC is located on the first floor.
The balcony, furnished with a coffee table, provides a sheltered spot to sit with the beach spread out ahead. At ground level, the rear garden has a picnic bench for al fresco dining. An outdoor shower is available for rinsing off after the beach – access to this is through the neighbouring property's gate. The path from the car park to the front door is flanked by a low wall with a 20-foot drop on the far side, and the main approach to the property is through the garden of the neighbouring property, so children should be supervised on the approach. Two allocated parking spaces are provided at the front of the development.
