This detached bungalow is situated in a fantastic spot for couples or small families looking to enjoy all that North Devon has to offer, and with your canine companion welcome to join you, no member of the family will be left behind. Have a ball on some of the region’s fantastic beaches, sniff out adventure along the South West Coast Path or spend lazy days snoozing with Fido in the suntrap south-facing garden.

Step inside this welcoming bungalow and feel instantly at home. The bright and airy lounge/diner comes complete with plenty of comfortable seating and a warming wood burner that furry friends are sure to adore. Meal times will be a breeze thanks to the well-equipped contemporary kitchen. Gather around the dining table to share a delicious meal, or head outside to dine alfresco at the picnic bench whilst Rover safely explores the enclosed lawned garden. When it comes time to rest weary heads, there are two attractive bedrooms, a king-size room and a twin, both with soft, neutral decor creating calm, relaxing spaces to sleep. A family bathroom completes the accommodation.

The village of Woolsery is surrounded by fields and the gently undulating countryside of North Devon where fabulous rural walks that will get tails wagging begin from your doorstep. The village has a small but good selection of local amenities, including a dog-friendly pub where Rover is welcome to join you at the bar and a popular fish and chip shop that''s handy if you don''t feel like cooking. For a day out at the seaside, the pebble beach at Buck''s Mills is 3 miles away and offers unrestricted access for four-legged friends year-round. Alternatively, head to the gorgeous sandy beaches of Westward Ho! (10 miles) and Instow (13 miles). Certain zones of these beaches have dog restrictions in the summer months, however, there is plenty of space outside of these areas to frolic with the hound year-round. The conservation village of Clovelly is 4 miles away, where pups on leads can join you in exploring its pretty cobbled streets that lead down to the picturesque traditional harbour.

We enjoyed our stay in the bungalow. The house is comfortable and clean. The kitchen is very compact, with a lot of what little worktop there is, filled with appliances. The coffee machine could be put away, as there is a cafetier in the cupboard. The tray with the teapot etc looks lovely on arrival, however it soon gets in the way & you end up pRead moreutting it in the dining room, as the cupboards are very full, with too much crockery for a house that sleeps 4. But if you're not cooking it will be fine! The bungalow is located, as advertised next to a school. But you can see into it, so if you have a reactive dog, it may get upset. The garden is fine for a few days, if you get sun, it is south facing and so you can enjoy the table and chairs in it. The local pub is lovely but expensive, as is the fish n chips shop (but delicious). The local shop is very well stocked! If you want a good off lead walk, you need to drive to Bucks Mills, very near by. Where you can head to the beach, very steep, but lovely rocky beach. Or off the car park you can head up into the woods, again very steep. I don't want to sound negative, however, I'm just being realistic. It was a nice week away. But we wouldn't return due to having to drive everywhere. Hide

A very comfortable bungalow. The enclosed garden was ideal for my dog. The proximity to the village store and an excellent pub further enhances this comfortable venue.

Convenient location close to shops and lovely pub and fish and chip restaurant. The Milky Way was close, but the big sheep was our preference. Whats lovely is there is a milking farm vending machine up the road that do a variety of flavoured milk and well worth a visit. If your intending on staying be sure you have your Amazon account, Netflix or YRead moreouTube account at the ready to login and use, as the tv didnt work with digital signal or analogue. When I saw the video player I felt like Id gone back in time to the late 80s. It would be good if the details of what the home has is included in the description, ie iron etc, we took one as a precaution but didnt need to as the property did have one. Hide
