Manaros is a great base for a holiday, close to the centre of Betws-y-Coed. Secure car parking is near by. The property is very comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately the freezer is in the cellar which is accessed from outside, probably not an issue in summer, but in winter this can be frustrating since you're likely to want access to the freRead moreezer in the early evening in the dark and with no light above the rear outside door, it makes going down the stairs hazardous, this is a made worse in bad weather.. The location of this cottage is simply perfect! There are so many beautiful walks right from the front door with a selection of brilliant pubs/shops/cafes less than a 5 minute walk away. The cottage was so fresh and clean and the board games were a welcome addition. The beds were a bit too soft for us; but this is one of those things that so subjRead moreective its impossible to please everyone! The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. We pushed the bins up against the gate to make it a little more secure; but if you have small dog or an escape artist they would probably be able to get through the gaps in the gate. One thing to note is that the outside utility room is more of a cellar containing the washing machine, dryer and freezer. Brilliant to have these extra utilities; but worth being aware of if youre afraid of spiders etc. Regardless though; we had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to return! Hide

We stayed in Manaros during January whilst visiting our daughter who has a shop in the village. The cottage is lovely and well placed to enjoy the amenities of the village, being a short walk to everything. The entrance has ample room for shoes and boots and is a tiled floor which made it easy to brush up mud. There are useful hooks for coats anRead mored bags. The lounge was comfortable with a sofa and couple of easy chairs. The TV only had freeview and no access to pay channels but we got round this using a laptop. The dining table could easily seat six. The kitchen was well appointed with microwave, dishwasher and fridge as well as cooker. There was plenty of room for two people to work in the kitchen at the same time. A good range of kitchen utensils. The upstairs was again, beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables that were large enough to accommodate all the stuff I usually take with me! The second bedroom we used as an overflow for clothes and cushions (there were a lot of these!) but was a good sized single. The bathroom was a reasonable size with the best shower I have experienced in a rental cottage. So often it's pathetic but this one was fabulous. The back garden was not large but enough to for our dog to get some fresh air. It wasn't secure by our standards because there is an alleyway down the side of the house that leads to the road with a gate that our dog could jump but for smaller dogs it would have been fine. All in all, this was a great cottage, in a superb location that I wouldn't hesitate booking again. Hide

Lovely little cottage with all we needed for a relaxing few days. Travelled with one dog so the garden was a bonus. Ideal location for all amenities, shops, restaurants and bars and all within a 5 minute stroll. Situated by a river with stunning views and lovely woodland walks, Swallow Falls was spectacular especially in the Autumn!
