A lovely three-storey cottage less than 1 mile from the bustling heart of Southwold, one of the most attractive seaside towns anywhere along the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB. The dog-friendly cottage features a comfortable lounge/diner, well-appointed bedrooms and a small garden enjoying harbour views. It is perfect for small groups or groups keen to explore the natural and cultural wonders of the area’s shorelines and undulating countryside.

A family bathroom is only a few paw prints away. The double bedroom and the two single bedrooms on the first floor all enjoy lovely views, while the second floor en-suite double bedroom is housed in the eaves. A small garden at the front of the cottage overlooks the harbour and is a scenic base for a morning coffee or a nightcap after a long day out.

The property is located on the harbour road running into Southwold (1 mile) and there are several dog-friendly cafes, pubs and shops along the way. There is more of the same in Southwold’s marketplace, while the town’s Denes Beach welcomes dogs all year round. The pretty Georgian village of Walberswick (less than 1 mile) is peppered with dog- and family-friendly pubs and cafes, while its reserves a wonderful place to reconnect with nature.

Ideal location, ideal cottage for 3 generations of our family to spend a holiday together. We love the walks, birdwatching, shopping in Southwold, variety of places to have lunch and dinner. We have enjoyed staying in this cottage annually (well, almost) since since 2013. That is surely the highest recommendation.

This is a little gem on the Suffolk coast. The location is superb, we thought the position right next to the water was just delightful, a very peaceful place to watch the world go by. We enjoyed some lovely walks and enjoyed the fresh fish we bought from Samantha K's fish shop which is a stone's throw away. The cottage itself has 4 bedrooms, all Read moreof a decent size with plenty of blankets and interesting books to read. Some decor is a little tired and the kitchen is a bit higgledy piggledy but we found this all part of the charm and character of the place. We really enjoyed borrowing the binoculars for a spot of birdwatching and reading all the bird books to find out what we had seen! Overall, a gorgeous little spot which we would certainly return to. Booked for a short stay with the family, perfect location for the Grandchildren with the beach a short walk away. Loved the view onto the river and nice and close to Walberswick for crabbing with a walk across tbe footbridge or a short ferry ride.
