Traditional and characterful, this traditional Cornish cottage is a brilliant base for families or groups of friends eager to explore South East Cornwall. It’s located in the quiet village of Lanreath and right next door to a friendly local pub, blending countryside calm with easy access to the coast (5 miles). There’s also a handy shop across the road for essentials. You’ll be surrounded by rolling farmland and traditional villages ripe for exploration. Spend lazy afternoons wandering the narrow streets and harbour at Polperro (6 miles), a wonderfully preserved fishing village famous for its tightly packed cottages and maritime history. Or head to the bustling seaside town of Looe (6 miles) for independent shops, seafood restaurants and boat trips. East Looe Beach (6.5 miles) is ideal for classic seaside days with its golden sand and sheltered waters.
Step inside to a welcoming lounge with a stone feature fireplace housing a wood burner, comfortable seating and a dining area for sitting down to sociable meals. Just beyond is the spacious kitchen, which has plenty of room for preparing holiday meals, plus a separate utility room with a washing machine – handy for popping through muddy boots and beach gear. A separate WC is also located just off the kitchen. Large doors open directly onto the patio, helping the space feel bright and airy. Stairs from the kitchen lead upstairs where you’ll find four bedrooms – two doubles, a twin and a single. There’s also a family bathroom on this floor with a shower over the bath, a WC and a skylight allowing the daylight in. You’ll have Smart TVs in the lounge and the king-size bedroom.
Outside, the gravel patio is furnished with a table and chairs so you can tuck into slow breakfasts and enjoy evening drinks. Parking is available in the pub car park, around 20 metres from the cottage.
