This large, country property sits just a stick’s throw from the beach outside the village of Ringstead. Surrounded by nearly an acre of garden, it is perfect for a doggy-friendly holiday. Sleeping eight guests across five bedrooms, and with one four-legged family member also welcome, it is ideal for a family break on the beautiful Dorset Coast.

This lovely, traditional property is welcoming and comfortable. The large, bright lounge/dining room is a pleasant space to relax in after a day at the beach, and with patio doors leading directly into the garden, is perfect for letting Fido out to stretch his legs. On chillier evenings, the open fire will soon have your furry friend snoozing at your feet. The kitchen is well-equipped with a handy breakfast table for your post-walk coffee, and there is a covered yard outside where you can leave muddy boots or rinse off sandy paws. The bedrooms, with their stripped wooden floors and traditional furniture, are furnished with crisp fresh bedlinen and splashes of colour, creating a jolly holiday feel. Outside, the large, enclosed garden is perfect for games of fetch or an al fresco meal and has a gate that leads directly onto the coastal path.

Further afield, the Lulworth Estate (11 miles) welcomes canine visitors to the famous cove and Durdle Door as well as to Lulworth Castle and Park, which offers acres of grounds to snuffle around in and is the ideal spot for a picnic. Visit the mesmerizing Blue Pool at Wareham (17 miles) where you can enjoy a walk through the surrounding woodland, or drive down to the Isle Portland (13 miles) to see Portland Bill Lighthouse and visit the neighbouring Chesil Beach.

A fantastic location and the house was big enough for our family of six adults, one child and a dog. The property itself was adequate but could certainly do with an upgrade particularly in the kitchen/utility. However, we did have a lovely week and may return sometime in the future.

Lovely large house plenty of room and full of character, super location.Garden is big and is enclosed to a degree if you take a dog be aware that our labrador and cocker spaniel escaped under the gate have suggested the gates be made more secured. A few tatty bits inside in need of attention but was a super week there.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful. The local cafe is great and very friendly. Dog friendly too! The house is comfortable and plenty of outdoor space. The beach is very close but not very easy to get to for anyone who is frail or has a walking disability. I feel the property could do with a general deep clean though. Superb location and proximity to an almost empty beach in peaceful Ringstead. Huge house with everything you need and a great dining/living room with views of the sea leading on to a patio with seating area for food and tea outside. The house has all the basic facilities you need. Osmington pub is a beautiful cliff side 25 minute walk. Other placesRead more to explore on foot include local woods in the direction of Upton and White Nothe cliff walk. So much more to explore in Dorset. Didn't want to leave! Hide
