This beautiful period property has been sensitively restored, in keeping with its original character and home comforts, just moments from Whitby seafront and miles of golden sand that your canine companion will adore exploring. There are plenty of fantastic features throughout and beautiful spaces that create perfect relaxing spaces for your guests.
After a day’s adventure, you and your four-pawed third wheel can relax in the living room, curling up in front of the cosy open fire housed inside of an original fireplace, before retreating to the corner sofa behind to catch the latest blockbuster on the TV. Prepare a locally sourced meal in the contemporary kitchen before leading the way through to the period dining room to enjoy family time around the dining table as Rover dozes beside the feature stove. At the end of the day, put your dog’s favourite blanket next to the ornamental fireplaces in either of the two bedrooms that comprise the first floor. Race your pup to the second-floor bedroom beneath the eaves where a statement claw-foot bath awaits in the family bathroom. Outside, enjoy dining alfresco in the quaint enclosed courtyard as little paws take a well-earned rest on the patio.
Synonymous with Gothic culture, the fishing village of Whitby offers plenty of fantastic walks for you and your canine companion to enjoy. Along the maze of historic cobbled streets at the town centre, around the bustling harbour (1 mile) to sample some tasty local fish dishes, or up the iconic 199 Whitby Abbey steps (2 miles), to be rewarded with magnificent panoramic views over the whole town and beyond. For a quieter stroll, Pannett Park less than half a mile away offers some wonderful, landscaped gardens and woodlands with plenty of sticks to fetch, where the only sound you’ll hear is your pup’s collar chiming through the wind.
