Situated near Blakeney in Gloucestershire, this is a superb base from which to enjoy walks alongside the River Severn and forays into the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Venture 10.5 miles to the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre then pedal off into the trees. Hire canoes at Symonds Yat, 17 miles away, while you are here, climb up to the dramatic rock viewpoint to take in the panoramic vistas of the picturesque Wye Gorge. Take the youngsters 7.5 miles to have a go on the high ropes course at Mallards Pike. Cheltenham famed for the Gold cup and Gloucester for shopping at the Quays are both within 25 miles.

From the gates into the main courtyard and parking area, you will see the main entrance to the house. Wander inside to find yourselves in the beautiful hallway with its ornate staircase, high ceilings and carefully chosen pieces of artwork. Make your way into the kitchen to your left, to unpack the provisions you have bought and start planning the holiday meals ahead of you. This appealing space has been fitted out with everything you are likely to need for your self-catering, plus a large table to gather round. There is also a utility room, with additional appliances and a WC. The elegant dining room, for your celebratory meals, adjoins. From the hall, also make your way through to the inviting lounge to light the wood burner, watch the Smart TV or play exciting games together. The garden room next to it is the ideal spot to sip your tea quietly and gaze out over the garden. There is even a work space here for those needing to catch up on a few emails. The bedrooms within the main house are spread across two floors. On the first floor, there is a generously sized family bathroom with a freestanding bath and double walk-in shower. There is also a king-size bedroom and a family bedroom, with a king-size and a super-king-size bed. This is accessed via a couple of steps down and features a seating area and Smart TV. The top floor encompasses two more family bedrooms, each with a king-size and a single bed, suitable for a small child only, and an en-suite shower room. The coach house, which has also been finished to a high standard, is entered via a porch that opens into a well-equipped kitchen/diner. There is a lounge here too, with a large Smart TV and a wood burner. Climb up to the first floor to find two king-size bedrooms, a twin and a large family shower room.

The property is set within four beautiful acres that you are welcome to explore. To the side of the main house, there is a terrace that can be accessed from the garden room. The coach house has a garden area with a picnic table and chairs, and there is a playing field with a trampoline and goal posts. Organise a grand game of rounders here and exercise your energetic four-legged friend. The pool house opens onto another lovely seating area and terrace, where you can soak in the hot tub and gather round the firepit. The pool house encompasses the year-round heated pool, two changing rooms and a shower. From its terrace, you can amble into the fabulous outdoor entertaining kitchen/diner, which is perfect for special occasions. There is ample private parking and storage for bikes.
