Let your pup leave no stick unfetched in the fantastic Lake District National Park when staying in this lodge-style accommodation that welcomes humans and dogs alike. Happily hosting a family of six (five humans and one canine companion, that is) the property welcomes your entire pack to get comfy and rest up after a long day of walkies or cycling excursions in the marvellous Cumbrian countryside. Let your pup curl up with their favourite doggy blanket whilst you cook, dine and recharge in the open-plan living environment.

Having explored the surrounding rural area and got suitably wet and muddy, you may wish to stop off in the external heated utility room before heading inside. In here you’ll find a washing machine, perfect for throwing dog towels in after wiping down muddy fur and paws. When clean, dry and ready to relax, head inside to find a lounge/kitchen/diner that’s always welcoming. Offering plenty of comfortable seating to sink into, a fully-equipped kitchen and plenty of space to position your dog’s favourite beds, you can get settled in and while away a long, relaxing evening right here. Leave Fido curled up and dreaming of chasing cats and other wildlife as you retire to bed, finding three inviting bedrooms just along the hallway.

Along with a neighbouring field where your pup can run off some steam, there’s a whole world of dog-friendly adventure within effortless reach. Cross over into the famed Lake District National Park (2 miles) to set off on one of many waymarked walkies routes. Perhaps you’d prefer an easy-going walk around the magnificent Ullswater (4 miles), stopping off for a picnic near the stunning Aira Force waterfall (10.5 miles), or a challenging hike up Helvellyn fell (13 miles) or the dramatic Blencathra (16 miles).

Booked here for 3 days at very notice. Lodge easy to find with great views across to Penrith. Lodge itself was great. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The biscuits were gorgeous. Lodge had everything you need Shower was warm and powerful. Ideally placed to explore Lakes. Would recommend.

We had a very enjoyable break at Crossfell View! The lodge is cosy and very well equipped, the wine in the fridge was a very welcome touch! Lovely views from the front of the lodge and it is very well located to enjoy Ullswater and the surrounding area.

Great location. The lodge did its job - somewhere comfortable to shower, eat and sleep. Would have given it 5 stars if not for a few things: the lodge is clean but smells like an old persons home. Not a bad smell, but strong. The carpet in the bathroom is a strange choice, even with a bath mat down its hard not to get the floor wet. My only other gRead moreripe was less than half a toilet roll was provided, we had to buy our own. Other than that, it was a good stay. Loads of local info provided too. Hide

Great lodge in a peaceful location at the end of the lane. Clean and very well-equipped, even including washing detergent! Excellent for a family stay. Drying room and cycle store very helpful. There's also a hair dryer, iron and ironing board which aren't in the listing as well as spare blankets/duvet.
