Experience the great outdoors in Cumbria when you and your pack stay at this beautiful countryside cottage in the picturesque hamlet of Cartmel Fell. Sleeping up to six guests and two dogs, your adventurous group can muddy your boots and paws climbing the many breathtaking hiking trails and fells nearby: Coniston Old Man, Langdale Pikes and Scafell Pike are all within reach.
Surrounded by natural beauty and lush green fields, this outstanding property with exposed beams is brimming with character. Following a fresh, brisk walk with your four-pawed pal, towel-dry your dog in the outer kitchen before heading through the utility area and into the spacious main kitchen with a Rayburn cooker. Leave the cook of your group to rustle up some doggy treats and a feast of your favourite foods as you settle for the evening in the cosy living room. Your pup will soon be snoozing by your feet as the wood burner crackles and you relax on the sofa. When it’s time for bed, head to one of three bedrooms for a restful night’s sleep: a king-size room with breathtaking views to the fells, a bunk bedroom and a twin. In the morning, enjoy a lovely hot cup of coffee outside in the seating area and listen as the birds sing their dawn chorus.
Enjoy an active day out at lake Windermere, 7 miles away, which has kayaks, SUPs and canoes for hire. Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be reached in just 14 miles and boasts the beautiful Far Arnside Beach, which is the perfect dog-walking spot. There is a pub in the nearby hamlet of Bowland Bridge, which serves hot food and is dog friendly.
