A beautiful location in the southern lakes with wonderful views and a super comfy bed. It was a very hot week so we were able to enjoy a peaceful breakfast on the balcony each morning. Grahame was a friendly and welcoming host and his best advice was not to travel too far but to concentrate on the local area which has so much to offer. We enjoyed wRead morealks from Tarn Hows, Wray Castle and along the Coppermines Trail and visits to visits to Brantwood, Hill House, Claife Viewing Station and Blackwell Arts and Crafts House. Joey's Cafe at various National Trust sites provided great coffee and tasty treats along with the Bluebird Cafe in Coniston. Other nice places to eat were The Terrace at Brantwood and Manor House Oxen Park. A lovely spot for our first visit to The Lake District. Hide

Weve just returned from a week in the Lake District , staying close to Coniston. We recently returned for our second stay at this wonderful holiday cottage in the Lake District, and it was just as exceptional as the first time. It is rare to find a place that not only maintains its high standards but feels even more welcoming on a return visit. The cottage remains beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and extremely well equRead moreipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. It truly feels like a home away from home, which made settling in effortless from the moment we arrived. The location continues to be a real highlight, offering stunning surroundings and easy access to some of the best walks and scenery in the Lake District. It is the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and convenient base for exploring. What stood out most was the consistency and attention to detail, which made our second visit just as enjoyable as the first. We would highly recommend this cottage and will certainly be returning again in the future. Hide
