An overflowing welcome basket of pet-friendly goodies is just one of the treats awaiting you in this canine-compatible cottage. There are plenty of tasty offerings for the humans of the pack, too, altogether creating a warm welcome to this stylish, romantic abode. Couples are invited to stay here with one four-pawed pal - ideal for those who wouldn't dream of leaving Rover in the kennels when planning their next getaway. The property is set on a working farm, surrounded by beautiful countryside scenery and winding footpaths to explore with Fido leading the way. A taste of city life is also on offer, with the vibrant city of Newcastle just a short drive away (7.5 miles).

Pretty pastel tones and antique-style furnishings set this picturesque property apart from the rest. Step into the open-plan living area on the ground floor, where man's best friend can rest easily with their two beloved owners relaxing close by. The kitchen is tucked away in one corner, with the dining area nearby, and a lounge space with comfy seating and a Smart TV offers room to put feet (and paws) up after a long walk. The gleaming shower room is also on this level, while the exceptionally styled double bedroom awaits on a mezzanine floor atop a spiral staircase. Outside, along with private parking, there's a charming seating area.

While there's no enclosed space for your pet to roam freely, you're within immediate access of a number of winding footpaths and country lanes for long, rewarding walkies. Mosey on over to Beamish (3 miles), the local village, or the pretty woodlands at Hedley Hall (2.5 miles). Let Fido unlock endless adventure in the North Pennines National Landscape by taking the short drive to the Derwent Reservoir (16.5 miles) and beginning your hike from there.

I LOVED my stay at Bluebell Cottage. It's beautifully decorated, as the pictures show and really is as cosy and comfortable as it looks. The welcome basket was such a lovely touch and so appreciated after an 8 hour drive (shouldn't have taken me that long so was a relief to have milk and bread ready for me, thank you!). It was such a wonderful locaRead moretion too - I got to explore locally whilst walking the dog, and also easy to get to so many places with lots of recommendations. Spotlessly clean too! Hide

Lovely stay at buttercup cottage. Easy to find and nice farm stay location. The cottage had everything you could think of cookware / kitchen wise! I spent most of the week adventuring to many national trust properties and the cottage was warm and welcoming on each days return.

Delightful people and idyllic surroundings. Loads of walks from the cottage with the dog, and amazing standard of accomodation. Plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance, and with the Beamish Annual pass we went for two seperate days and still did not see it all. Will be going back soon !!
