Let Rex wander about in the sunshine while you gaze over towards the mountains from this pet-friendly retreat in the village of Coniston. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom holiday home is newly renovated to a high standard and is ideal for families or couples eager to enjoy the beauty of the Lake District with their furry friend at their heel. Stroll just over 0.5 miles to the shores of Coniston Water to walk beside the lake or take Rex out on a steam yacht gondola trip with you.

Open the front door and let Rex head in to make himself comfortable. Follow him down the hall and into the lounge where you can rest tired paws and feet after your latest long walk. Watch the TV in here or take Rex through to the diner so you can look out towards your beautiful surroundings as he pads out through the glass doors and into the garden. Enjoy the homecooked meals you have prepared, while Rex tucks into his dinner through in the well-fitted kitchen. Settle him for the night in this part of the property before making your own way through to one of the inviting bedrooms. These include 3 king-size and a twin. There is also a family shower room here. Spend sunny mornings and afternoons out in the fresh air of the pretty, lawned garden. Light the BBQ then dine under the stars as Rex enjoys the warm air on summer nights.

Lace your boots, pick up the dog lead and venture 2.5 miles from the house up to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston. Hike 1.5 miles to see the former Coniston Copper Mines or undertake a section of the scenic, 14-mile route around Coniston Water, with Rex bounding by your side.

Wonderful property, beautifully renovated, exceptionally clean, spacious, beautiful secure garden with a stunning view of the hills. We loved the gas bbq with the silicon liner (so hygienic). Garden table and chairs were very comfortable too. It was such a well thought through cottage even with dog bowl, bed, treats and toys! Bathrooms are beautifuRead morel, beds are comfy and lots of space to hang out in the evenings with two seating areas and a large dining table. The location in Coniston was perfect, quiet, but 5 mins from 3 pubs and still more less than 10 mins away! Great walks without getting in your car including Coniston lake, the Coppermines, and waterfalls. I would highly recommend this cottage. Hide

As a family we have spent a week in Lake District for past 45 years always staying in a comfortable house in various parts of the Lake District. Weve had a few favourites and returned to them occasionally. Beech Grove has been voted the best yet . The house is equipped with everything you could wish for. There is lots of space inside and out. An ideal location and comfortable cottage. Our party consisted of 4 adults, 2 small children and a dog, which was fine. I imagine during the summer months more use would be made of the outside area, but in the winter 8 adults may well find the inside of the cottage cramped, particularly the dining and kitchen space.

This is a great place - we stayed as a family of 5, with good space, 3 separate bathrooms/showers and a downstairs space to wash the dog and keep walking boots/waterproofs. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Perfectly located for fantastic walks up/near the Old Man from the house, with cafes, pubs and small shops just a few steps away, and the BRead moreluebird cafe/lakeside a very short walk away. It is an amazing base to explore the Lakes. The electric charging and 2 parking spaces were great. Hide

Fabulous place to stay. Recently stayed with family and friends for a long weekend, along with our 2 dogs. We all had a lovely stay. Beechgrove is very comfortable and well equipped. The accommodation was exceptionally clean. I would definitely stay here again. There was an issue with the downstairs shower 2 days before our stay. The owner went aboRead moreve and beyond to get this repaired prior to us arriving. It was all sorted on the day we arrived. I was very impressed. First class accommodation! Hide
